Can the Osterholz-Scharmbeck museum complex be considered a “focal point” for the region? This question was addressed by the feasibility study commissioned by Thomas Beiße Projekte & Management and Erlebniskontor from the district of Osterholz. A “focal point” is defined as one of several thematic gateways to the region. It should have both an informative and disseminating function for the visitors. At the same time, solutions were proposed on how the existing concept can be honed in order to meet the demands of current and future guests. Alongside the various concepts, economic parameters were taken into account as a basis for taking the decision.
